The 9th International Information Technology Conference will be held during Sri Lanka's ICT Week 2008 on Tuesday the 28th and Wednesday the 29th of October 2008. In addition to the presentation of research papers, the conference will feature several Keynote Addresses and Invited Talks by leading
personalities in the IT world from Sri Lanka and abroad. The conference will be followed by several high quality Tutorials and Workshops in areas on the cutting edge of IT. 
IITC has been the major international IT conference held in Sri Lanka at which current research undertaken in Sri Lanka and the Region are presented by both local and foreign Computer Scientists/Engineers both from academia and industry. The proceedings of the IITC are published in both book and CD ROM versions with an ISSN number.  The call for papers and proposals for workshops/Tutorials together with other relevant details are available at www.iitc.lk.
The conference and workshops/Tutorials will focus on important problems and potential solutions in strategic research areas of particular relevance such as, but not limited to:
